Events - annual conference

17th National Works & Engineering Conference
23 - 24 September 2010
Bendigo Exhibition Centre

The National Works & Engineering Conference (N.W.E.C) whilst being extremely successful in past years has taken a new look and is moving to the Bendigo Exhibition Centre for 2010. The facility (approximately 30 hectares in size) provides us with plenty of parking, a huge modern under cover complex, which is an exhibitors dream, and also a Caravan Park for the family. This now allows us to expand our social events, entertainment, and selected guest speakers.

The change in venue will also give us the option to expand our conference structure and exhibition procedures. The N.W.E.C. has grown to a capacity where we find it difficult to accommodate the three main ingredients:

  1. Exhibition space for our very important sponsors
  2. An area for the delegates to benefit from professional and informative presentations, and
  3. An area to accommodate our huge numbers for our social dinner and business breaky.

The conference format will change whereby we will have one stream covering civil works, parks, and engineering over the two days. Combined with an area that has enough room to display as many exhibitors as we can muster and facilitate as many demonstrations our sponsors can offer.

The complex offers inside or outside facilities all within the same grounds on the property. The Gala Dinner and business breaky will also be under the same roof. It is with pleasure that I invite you to the “New Look” N.W.E.C. as a delegate, exhibitor, or presenter and encourage you to set this date aside for what will be one of the premier events in 2010.
